Why I want to meet Glenn Beck
I was an avid Dr. Laura fan. Right after 9/11, Dr. Laura disappeared from my talk radio station and was replaced with Glenn Beck. I was LIVID! It wasn’t enough that this station devoted entire weekends to SPORTS talk, but they put THIS GUY in the place of Dr. Laura? I wrote emails, letters, banned the station from my car & house….then one day, on a long, boring trip….I gave in.
And I’ve been hooked ever since :P Now I download his podcasts to my iPod and listen to them while painting, traveling or working online. I listen to him in the car if I happen to be in driving when he’s on. And, evils of all evils….I make my 17 year old “I’m SO liberal, I’m a Democrat” daughter listen to him when she wants to ride in my car.
And she actually laughs at his jokes. She even called me the other night to tell me she saw him on Headline News.
I’d like to meet him because he’s smart, funny and I truly respect his obvious devotion to his wife and children. That’s such a rare and wonderful thing to see.
